It’s always necessary to know when a stage of life ends. If you insist on staying in it beyond time, you lose the joy and sense of it. Closing circles, or closing doors or closing chapters, whatever you call it. The important thing is to close them, and let go those moments of life that are ending .
Did you lose your job?, Your relationship is over?, You don’t longer live in that house?, You must move away?… You can spend a lot of time of your present “wallowing” in the reasons, to return the tape and try to understand why this or that happened. The wear soon to be infinite, because in life, you, me, your friend, your sons, your brothers, we all are on track to be closing chapters, go turning the page, to end stages or moments of life and move on.
We can not be in the present yearning for the past. Not even wondering why. What happened, happened, and must be released, we have to let go.
That is why, sometimes it is so important to destroy memories.
Let go, drop, discard. We must learn to lose and win. You have to let go, you have to turn the page, we must live only with what we have in the present…
The past is gone. Do not wait to get it back. Let go of the resentment. To be constantly thinking of the past, all that it does is to hurt you slowly, to poison you and make you bitter.
Life is forward, never backward. Relationships or friendships that are not closed down yet?, Words that were left unsaid?, Silences that invaded them? If you can face them now, do it. If not, let go, close chapters. Tell yourself that no, not again. But not for pride or arrogance, but because you no longer fit there, in that place, in that heart, in that room, in that house, in that office, in that job, or whatever it is.
You‘re not the same as you were two days ago, three months ago, a year ago. Therefore, there is nothing to return.
Close the door, turn the page, close the circle.
